Local Grant Opportunities

Several Washington County-based organizations run grant programs to support local artists and organizations. Below you can find more information about the groups in Washington County that provide financial support for endeavors in arts, culture, heritage and the humanities.

Beaverton Arts Commission

The Beaverton Arts Program provides financial support for non-profit visual, written and performing arts organizations who serve the Beaverton community. All events or activities funded by either opportunity must take place within the Beaverton School District boundaries.

Deadline: March (annually)
Amount: up to $500 for groups and individuals, and up to $1,000 for 501(c)(3) organizations

Cultural Coalition of Washington County

The Cultural Coalition of Washington County (CCWC) is the re-granting board of the Oregon Cultural Trust in Washington County. Monies donated to the Cultural Trust come back to Washington County and are distributed as grants to cultural non-profits per the Washington County Cultural Plan.

Forest Grove Public Arts Commission

Eligible activities include music, dance, literary arts, fine arts, crafts, film and drama. Clubs and organizations, rather than individuals, are eligible to apply. It is not mandatory for the organization to be registered as a non-profit.

Hillsboro Arts & Culture Council

The Community Arts and Culture Grant Program provides financial support for organizations providing arts and cultural experiences to the Greater Hillsboro Community. Educational and social service organizations are also eligible to apply for funds for arts and culture related programs. Applicants can apply for grants that address technical assistance/capacity building or community programs.

Deadline: March (annually)
Amount: $1,500 for groups, $3,000 for 501(c)(3) organizations, up to $25,000 operating support

Hillsboro Community Foundation

This fund was established to memorialize Grant T. Johnson’s service and contributions to enhancing the quality of life in Hillsboro through community building and passionate promotion and support of arts and culture as an integral and essential component of a vibrant and complete city. The Fund will support non-profit arts and culture organizations in the city of Hillsboro.

Oregon International Airshow

The Air Show offers grants of up to $5000.00 per request. Award amounts are contingent on the overall financial success of the Air Show. The goal of the awards committee is to disperse all awarded grants in January/February of 2018.

Reser Family Foundation

The Reser Family Foundation makes transformational charitable contributions in the areas of the arts, education, environment and health that will result in broad public benefit, primarily in Oregon. The foundation has identified four cornerstones to guide its giving including education, health, the arts, and environment.

Walters Family Foundation

The Walters Family Foundation’s efforts are aimed at programs which enable at-risk individuals and at-risk families to become productive and self-sufficient members of society, as well as contributing to the overall betterment of society.

Washington County Visitors Association

The Tourism Development Capital Project Grant supports entities with projects and programs that the WCVA Board of Directors believes have extraordinary merit and will positively impact and increase overnight visitation to Washington County, Oregon.
