Calling all artists and designers! The Beaverton Downtown Association has an incredibly fun opportunity for artists to create conceptual blade sign designs for local businesses. You are invited to participate in an amazing collaborative community design process and leave your mark on Beaverton’s Historic Downtown. This CoSign program will result in 10-12 new blade signs in Old Town Beaverton. Artists who submit designs by 7/26 that are chosen for funding on 9/6 will receive $1,000.
What is it? CoSign is a program that brings artists, business owners, and sign makers together to create a one-of-a-kind downtown experience for the whole community to enjoy. The Beaverton Downtown Association is looking for artists to design unique, original works that will be displayed for years to come.
Am I eligible? Artists, graphic designers, and creatives from Washington, Multnomah, Clackamas, Yamhill, and Columbia Counties are preferred, but anyone is welcome.
How do I participate? You will work with local business owners to develop a sign design concept that aligns with their brand and identity in the community. The whole process will last about six months from design through fabrication and unveiling. To be considered, you MUST attend one of the follow workshops: MANDATORY ARTIST WORKSHOP July 10, 2019 (7:00pm-8:30pm) OR July 11, 2019 (8:30am-10am) Beaverton E-Suites (3rd Floor) 12725 SW Millikan Way Beaverton, OR
Why business signage? Visible signage is more than a first impression for customers. It represents the unique identity, personality, and role that the business plays in the community. These businesses are counting on you to help them leverage the value of visual communication to strengthen the impact they have in our downtown.
